About

In 2005 a small group of Dharma practitioners formed a home meditation and study group, which has given birth to ConversationSangha (“CS”) in 2019, a contemporary Sangha with roots in the Buddha’s psychology.  As an expression of Western Buddhism, CS participates in multiple Dharma traditions that were once segregated by geography in the East.  These  traditions–primarily Theravada, Zen, and Tibetan–convey the Buddha’s teachings and spiritual practices regarding mindfulness, lovingkindness, and compassion, and help us realize true freedom in our lives.

ConversationSangha.org is dedicated to making the Dharma accessible to support spiritual awakening, and to strengthen English-speaking, spiritual communities everywhere.  Our goals are:

  • to be an open doorway for all who seek a life of freedom and peace
  • to offer training and fellowship in the Dharma, and walking the Noble Path
  • to strengthen the local Sangha in Tulsa
  • to support Sangha leadership everywhere

Our sessions for meditation and instruction are held at Forest Park Christian Church, 9102 S. Mingo Rd. in Tulsa, OK. Meeting times are Sundays, 1-3 PM. Introductory meditation classes are offered several times per year (see Upcoming Events, above). If you are interested in introductory training, please “Contact Us” (see menu above), and we will reach out to you using your contact information. All training is provided at no cost.***
