Meditation is a key practice, among others, for awakening to the mind-conversations which run our lives, causing many forms and degrees of stress and suffering.  Meditation is also a skillful practice for letting go, and awakening to a spiritual conversation infinitely larger than the mind as we know it. *****CURRICULA DESCRIPTIONS*****

A Glimpse Into Meditation:   For anyone curious about meditation, but unsure about plunging into the practice.  This free 90 minute opportunity provides instruction, and allows persons to experience sitting meditation firsthand; and because of misconceptions, inquirers are often surprised that it’s not mysterious, but as simple as focusing one’s attention on the present moment, which our minds and bodies find profoundly rewarding.  We’ll take a look at the benefits people who meditate experience –physical, emotional, and mental.  We’ll also consider, conceptually, what  meditation is, what it isn’t, with opportunities for questions. ‘A Glimpse’ is offered periodically, Sunday afternoons, depending upon the interests of inquirers.  Sessions are held at 91st and Mingo, Tulsa.   For more information or to express your interest, please Contact Us (menu above).

Exploring Meditation:  Series 1 is three to four (1 hr.& 45 min.) sessions for persons who want to inquire further and to have a beginning experience of practicing meditation, led by an experienced teacher, with opportunities for questions/answers.  Offered a few times per year, and is free.  Meeting times are set based upon an inquirer’s and teacher’s availabilities, usually Sunday afternoons. For more information or to express your interest, please Contact Us (above).

Practicing Meditation:  Series 2 is four 120-minute sessions for persons who want to have the experience of meditation for altering the inner “conversations” governing their lives, with discussions on the basics of intentional practice.  Meeting times are set based upon an inquirer’s and teacher’s availabilities. All sessions are free. For more information or to express your interest, please Contact Us (above).

Meditation as Spiritual Practice:  For persons wishing to continue their meditation practice in a more comprehensive way, Series 3 is approximately twelve 2-hour sessions.  Its purpose is to provide an experiential foundation for “Mindfulness” training for ending the stress and suffering in one’s life.  The series will also prepare participants who desire initiation into Sangha, a spiritual community of friends who care about their own and about each other’s stresses in life, and provide skillful support on our path to freedom.  The series is offered once or twice per year and is also free. Meeting times are set based upon participants’ availabilities, Sunday afternoons. For more information or to express your interest, please Contact Us (above).
